The nonprofit organization, whose controversial campaigns draw criticism from women's rights groups, said it hopes to raise awareness of veganism through a mix of pornography and graphic footage of animal suffering.

"We're hoping to reach a whole new audience of people, some of whom will be shocked by graphic images that maybe they didn't anticipate seeing when they went to the PETA triple-X site," said Lindsay Rajt, PETA's associate director of campaigns.

That's the stuff fetishes are born of. Those who don't immediately flee and just skim over those will start to subconsciously associate mutilated animals with a good fap. Good job, PETA.

After the initial 'wut' reaction, I guess all I have is incredulity at the lengths to which they will go. It's not a bad thing to do, but boy, is it strange.

I'm not surprised that they're starting a porn site, really, because PETA's been trying the sex sells angle for a while.

But what I cannot tolerate the most is the fact that they're intentionally going the shock site route and actively hoping they catch people unaware. Not only is that an incredibly dickish thing to do, (and I'm afraid it'll cause someone to, say, have a panic attack) it's not going to help any animals at all.

Oh right, PETA doesn't actually care about animals. Silly me.
