You ever save a bunch of icons, then when you're ready to upload them, you realize you can't remember what user/comm created who?

You ever save icons you know you'll never use, but keep for the hell of it because it amuses you/makes you smile?

Then there are icons I upload that I use rarely, but I like looking at them when I'm writing something.

I miss making icons. But it's hard to feel inspired on a laptop with a touchpad and your electronic mouse won't respond to you anymore. Not to mention the lighting on a laptop keeps changing, so I can't tell if the colors on my icons are too muddy/bright or not. Augh.

Brain's a little fuzzled, sorry. I need a quick run outside.

On the plus side, I've spent my first DnD session with James and friends last night. Puri's learning! Nomnomnom. Lots of laffs were had. And I got to read more Allen Ginsberg ("Reality Sandwiches"). Life is good.

I still need to catch up on Homestuck and ten trillion things. Gonna watch a movie with Mom first. ("Tootsie") Hopefully it won't backfire on me like a couple of her past movies have.

Whenever I save icons, I usually add an underscore and then the comm or maker I got it from. Like for your icons, I'd name the file 'WobbaWutSign_insanepurin'. (I still love the Wobbuffet signs ones so much~ 8>c )

That's a good idea! I hadn't thought of using underscores before. :) (Yay, those signs really were a hit! X3)

...I used to forget, but now I save the creator/comm name in the file name specifically to counter my forgetfulness.

AND I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. SOME ICONS ARE JUST LIKE. LITTLE FANART TRADING CARDS AND YOU WANT TO COLLECT THEM BECAUSE THEY'RE PRETTY OR CUTE OR FUNNY. ;A;
And sometimes I do dumb things like save icons just because "oh it's rare to see that pairing" and stuff like that. OTL

You're right! They are like trading cards, aren't they? I have a bunch of silly yaoi ones and some quote icons from [livejournal.com profile] weepingcock that I'll never use, but they're hysterical when I'm having a bad day. XD

I currently save my icons like ledgem does, but augh, I know what you mean. I wish there was something (properties, or something) that would let you save some text instead of having a clunky name.

Or automatically have the icon creator's LJ name after it! That'd be mighty convenient. :o

I have a collection of icons just for the sake of having them. They're fun to look at! I keep track of who made them by typing their username in the file name somewhere, if they haven't already done that themselves.

Oh man I'm always worried about how colors turn out on other people's screens! Sometimes I'll see a drawing I colored or something on someone else's computer and I'll just be like ಠ_ಠ
