Getting things off to a fun start, Zoey walks in on a girl trying to give a guy a blowjob. Zoey is DISGUSTED by this, saying “Of course there are girls who think it’s ‘cool’ to give guys head. Uh, they’re wrong. Those of us with functioning brains know that it is not cool to be used like that.” And that’s mummy’s sound advice on the birds and the bees for this chapter! Okay, yes it is wrong to be used for sex but the girl was only very willing and eager to give the guy head and he was the one reacting with horror. Shouldn’t Zoey be worrying about the clear sexual assault instead of pushing judgement onto the girl here? I guess we all need a healthy dose of slut shaming in our books aimed at teenage girls, you’ve got to get them early!

Man, I'm going to miss the Sparkle Project. It's like the Angry Video Game Nerd for readers, in a way. Now I'm torn about writing a paranormal romance for NaNoWriMo. :( Except do I want to? I can't sit through a teeny high school opera without gagging. D: Idunwannaaaaaaaaaa.

Yeah, it's one of those books that are so bad you can't help but laugh at it. I remember being infuriated the first time I heard about that scene though.
