Stephanie Meyer's Twilight = The New Scientology?

Holy fuckity fuck.

I never took the stupid books seriously, but keeping gay marriage banned through constitutional amendment?

Fucking serious.

If I had any thoughts or curiosities about Mormonism, it's pretty much gone out the window.

Too bad she's gonna make some damn money, despite the fact that it's really not that amazing a book.

For the record, they're referring to a state constitutional amendment, in California. That said, scary and awful.

Also, hi. I kind of randomly lurk around here sometimes after you started the Super Mario RPG screencap thing. Don't mind me :B

It really, really sucks, I know. ;;

Aww, heya! I'm struggling with the organization of the caps themselves (and me wanting to strangle my computer whenever it lags trying to load them onto Photobucket. @.@;;;) but when I get spare time in my crazy college schedule, I wanna see if I can battle uploading my caps again. XD It touches me to see people still interested in the screencap misadventure~! ♥

I found it on my flist, which in turn, came from the latest post of [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets. @.@

Reminds me of a poster a friend hung up in her dorm. It lists the different ways religions interpret the term "Shit happens", Mormonism being "Excrement happens." :P

Not even Evil Knievel could have made that jump. Besides that, from what I hear, the Twilight series is far from LDS-friendly (despite that fact that tons of LDS matriarchal heads point their daughters to the series just because it's written by an LDS member). The fact is, we can't even know if she's paying her proper tithes, unless we go look it up in their records (which they do keep). Dur?

I dunno how much of a Mormon SMeyer is. I'm sure Edward is actually gay and is just using Bella as his cover. ;) He does sparkle, after all~~~♥

Man! Fabulous vampires~! Heck, if Meyer's gonna be a Rice clone, might as well go all the way and make a Lestat/Louis ripoff! XDDD

That icon describes how I feel perfectly.

I never understood what was so great about the Twilight series. I heard that it was very badly written and that she gets a lot of her facts about vampires wrong (I even heard that she makes them twinkle and sparkle in the sunlight instead of them dying). I always thought of it as an overhyped, overrated series.

But this? Ugh. >_< Seems like she's trying to take advantage of the tweens. What makes it weird is that I thought that Mormons were against vampires and other anti-Christian figures. o.O;;;

Who knows? Like what [livejournal.com profile] rainsingingwolf said, SMeyer may not be paying the Mormon church any money at all. :o

And hey. I already disliked and went lulz over her writing before I saw this. XDDDD! I just get a little worried if it's, you know, fatal. oO;;;
