What are your five least favorite romances, in canon?

1. Harry/Ginny. No seriously, I frothed at this since Chamber of Secrets. Let's see: little girl gets shallow crush on Harry Potter because he's The Boy Who Lived while Harry proceeds to ignore her existence until she's kidnapped (and of course he saves her! He's not an asshole). By Order of the Phoenix, Ginny gets over her crush on Harry and guess what? She gets a PERSONALITY! She's cheerful, spunky, and while she has her flaws, she overall has her head on her shoulders and she handled boys and romance waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the petty boyfriend/girlfriend wankfest of Half-Blood Prince. But no. Harry had to have a crush on her again. The angst relating to it was stupid ("Oh noes Ron I'm in love with your sister!") and the "monster in his chest" thing? Total bullshit. ("J.K. Rowling obviously doesn't know teenage boys. The monster's not in his chest... it's in his pants!" --Ivy) I was so rooting for it NOT to happen and gaaaaaaah. HBP's end was so typically Spiderman and painful. Since then Ginny's character detoriated to nothing but a Mary-Jane clone and the "Waaaaaah waaaaaaah! I wanna help Harry too!" "Nono Ginny you can't fight 'cause you're too young you stay here!" makes me just GAH! I gagged when they got married. There, said it. Ah well, at least I like Ron/Hermione.

2. Yamato/Sora. Uh wut? Okay, where did that one come from? I think I remember Yamato and Jyou trying to talk to Sora outta her depression late in 01, but that's all the subtext I can remember. Where did the whole dating Yamato thing come from in 02? I mean, I don't consider myself a Taiora fan, but yeesh, at least it makes sense and can see why people were upset it didn't happen. I like Kenyako, so I was actually happy it happened. And see? It actually had growth! And subtext! I saw it coming before Episode 50. But Sorato? Nuh uh. Not from ten billion miles away man. Just random and irritating and I don't like that at all. XD

3. Sonic/Amy. Okay, so it's not FULLY canon, but I hope it doesn't happen. Which Amy do you like better: the badass Amy who fights for her friends Ike*Style, or the clingy whiny Amy that cares more for Sonic than Silver's (and our) future? I rest my case.

4. Tails/Fiona. Tails is only gonna get stomped on again and again and again and again. D:

5. Ash/Mina. Or hey, it could just be me spitting in Ash's face 'cause he's such an asshole (and not the good kind). He exists to be a douchebag with no character development whatsoever. The only cool thing about him is his T-shirt. :P Even then, I know a certain other Frownie-Face who'd kick his butt to Tuesday and back. ;D

1. Agreed. As Sheepyrai made mention, it wasn't so bad until she turned into a cardboard cutout in the last book. It's like Rowling did it just to stop the frothing fangirls.

3. I just care for any Sonic pairing whatsoever.

4. Same about what I said above for Sonic.

5. I really don't know much about that pairing. Mostly, I'm just irritated because I really felt like they could have expanded more on Mina, but in the end she just ended up being a Marysue. :P

I was sad they didn't expand on Mina either. :( If only because I actually liked Mina. XDDDDDD! But yeah, they just dropped her off at a shallow storyline and had her exist to show how ZOMG PERFECT!!1!!1 Sonic and Sally are. :P (And I definitely don't ship SonMina and don't want it to happen. XD I don't trust they're gonna give substance to Ash anytime soon, if at all, though. :P)

I think Harry should have hooked up with Luna. Maybe I'm crazy for thinking this, but the moments they shared together were cute as hell, and Luna was acutally there for him after... certain tragic moments.

I don't like Sorato or Taiora, so I was kind of hoping neither happened, but didn't get lucky I guess. I think they tried to make Sorato more like a realistic relationship I guess, because how many people get married to their childhood love? I prefer her with other people, like Jyou and Mimi, but I don't think I'd want any of my personal pairings to become canon.

I know Amy loves Sonic, and that's part of her character and I would never want to change that about her because that's part of her appeal as a character. But Amy needs to be shipped with someone that respects her, just like every girl needs someone that respects her. Sonic and Amy may be friends, but Sonic isn't completely respectful towards her.

They're my favorite HP pairing too, despite the fact I don't participate in the fandom whatsoever. The fifth movie like, tied the package in a bow for me or something. The girl that plays Luna is amazing.

It's the other way 'round. Sora goes to where Yamato is practicing with his band for their Christmas Eve gig to give him cookies she made for him, and Taichi happens to be there... I don't think there's anything to show that they haven't been on speaking terms. But Taichi knows what the cookies mean and encourages Sora to go and give them to Yamato. He had the best bittersweet smile after that; he's obviously happy for his friends, but a bit sad about "missing the train", so to speak. And Agumon even comments that Taichi has "really grown up".

To be fair, I didn't really see Sora's supposed feelings for Taichi or vice-versa in Adventure. There was the whole thing with Nanomon, but that was mostly Taichi screwing up and putting his very best friend in serious danger, right after he learned that the Digital World is serious business and they may as well die there. Can't blame him for crying. I can sort of see Sora's side in Our War Game, but...

I was... GigaGarurumon, but that won't tell you a thing. It was seven years ago after all.

Naw, I'm 100% sure it was where the Teen-age Wolfs practice and Taichi was encouraging and Sora was feeling awkward 'cause they're both her friends and crap. And then after Sora went to see Yamato you had Jun rushing in and nearly running poor Taichi over. Classic scene.

Miyako had a huge fangirl crush on Ken, sure, but she was quick to forget about it when he revealed himself as the Kaiser (though she still thought he was rather cute). Then, of course, after realizing he was working on his own to destroy Dark Tower Digimon and Dark Towers in general and wanted to atone for his sins, she was the second most determined to befriend him and have him become a full member of the team after Daisuke. All part of her learning not to judge by appearances, and the reason I can really see why they got married in the end. She just made a huge effort to make him feel welcome and know him as a person and he seemed to really appreciate it, it just makes sense.

Shipping wars are dumb and are only solved by love triangles. 8D

True. I was aware there were a few hints in 02, but as I said, I'm neither a Sorato or Taiora shipper. XD (All the slash goodness aside, Puri liked Mimi/Jyou~ ♥) I never liked the whole hair clip argument, I thought that was petty. :P

Actually I support these ships because of the kids. I love James, Al and Lily, and Yamato and Sora's sproglings are yay too.

The Digimon kids are cute, you can't deny that. :) My only issue really was the kids being named after Mom and Dad (dude, that's gonna be such a pain filling out forms!), but Albus's middle name being Severus was aww. :o
