Date: 2008-04-22 12:08 am (UTC)I think you know which ones I'm going to be posting about . . .
Feathers of an Early Bird:
"
He wrapped his arms around Geno, closing his eyes as he tucked his head comfortably against the wooden doll’s shoulder. The embrace returned, Geno watched over the small boy, a warm, if sad smile, spread across his face.
“Mallow… you DO know after we find the Star Pieces, I’ll be going home, right?”
“Yeah… I knew that.”
“Just wanted to be sure you knew… that’s all.”
“Geno...”
"Nevermind." the wooden doll shook his head. "I'm just happy you're here."
"Geno..."
The fluffy prince lifted his hand up to the back of the wooden doll’s neck, suddenly drawing his face toward himself. Geno’s eyes widened in shock, his lips held against another’s; it didn’t take long, however, for them to close. Euphoria took over the doll; his whole self glowed by an inner peace. Eventually, their lips separated, and Mallow was looking upon him with eyes wide open. His face had turned beet red, but it didn’t take long for the fluffy prince to speak:
“Well…” he breathed. “There’s no way I’ll forget you… after this.”
The wooden doll chuckled, and soon their faces were brought together again. He leaned back into the bed, holding Mallow so the fluffy prince wouldn’t fall off and stay atop of him. Eventually, they lain side-by-side, wrapped in complete bliss of the morning."
To Be Real:
""...Peach?"
"Yes Geno?"
"...Thank you."
"What? But I-"
"For coming. For following me and wanting to talk to me tonight. There were quite some things on my mind before, and now I... I don't know how I'd feel by now if you hadn't been here."
"Geno..."
Peach started back toward the wooden doll again, facing him once more.
"I don't know what I've done to make you happy," she said. "But whatever I did, I'm glad you're okay now. If you ever want to talk to me again, I'll be more than happy too—I'll be waiting with open arms and ears! This may not be much, but... take it as good luck for all future travels—it'll be a big day tomorrow."
She bent forward and kissed him on the cheek. The wooden doll became very still, timidly lifting his fingers to caress the very area her lips touched in his already-blushing face. The princess went ahead and waved to him by the stairways, beaming with contentment and anticipation.
"Let's go! I'll see you at the hotel!"
He smiled and nodded, following her."

Date: 2008-04-22 10:02 pm (UTC)The Geno/Mallow fic . . . It's just so simple, yet so sweet and innocent. And To Be Real . . . Just a simple conversation, and look at what happens . . .
*pokes icon* I asked the person who made the icon to put a shooting star in the background for a reason. =P It could be Geno, or a granted wish . . . Who knows? XDDD
