Didn't they change Porky to Pokey due to copyright issues? ("Th-th-th-th-that's all folks!") Plus it's one of those things where I like the English names better. (Le GASP) Porky brings to mind a stuttering pig not much of a threat, but when you hear Pokey, you think of an obnoxious brat. Which he is. Who also happens to be clever and manipulative and the least likely suspect for a dictator... until it's too late, since by then he's slipped through your fingers and squashed you flat. To me, the name fits the character better than just well... Porky. XD
I dunno if it was due to copyright issues as just a translation choice... Porky in Japanese is just Po-ki- isn't it? So one way to look at it is Pokey, and that definitely sounds better to me than Porky. GOD I HOPE THEY KEEP IT POKEY OH GOD WHY AM I THIS INVESTED IN THIS
