here_inmyheadName a character from one of my fandoms and I'll give you (a) three facts about them from my personal canon/fanon, (b) a reason he/she sucks, (c) a reason he/she is awesomecakes, (d) five things that never happened to that character or (e) five people that character never fell in love with and why. 2. Tops Luigi in their relationship, hands down. *cue Utena cosplay with Luigi as the Anthy: the Rose Bride and Daisy as Utena, holding a humongoid sword up* Plus she's good with the PxL relationship. She likes sharing her squashy Luigi. :3 ♥
3. Definitely more assertive than Peach, if a tad outspoken. If Peach gets kidnapped for her vulnerability, Daisy gets in trouble with her big mouth. XD

Date: 2007-12-02 11:59 pm (UTC)1. After the crazy wonked out events of Mewtwo Strikes Back!, Mewtwo sends Joy back to the PokeCenter, but in thanks for serving her these long months, he leaves her with an egg--that which he cloned from Misty's Togepi.
2. He later develops a friendship with Pikachu 2--whom comes to know and understand him better than the other clones.
3. While Professor Fuji and the scientists tried to wipe his memories of Ai, Mewtwo still remembers her to this day--he takes her AND the fact they tried to erase her from his mind as one of the reasons he goes against humans and Pokemon for exploiting the clones.

1. AWESOME MUSIC. Whether it fires up Puri, makes her wibble, or huddle in a corner. XD
2. Clever (even gut-wrenching!) lyrics. Hell, look who inspired Johnny Cash later. :o
3. Empathy. When Reznor listened to Cash's rendition of "Hurt", he was so moved he no longer considered it "his song" when people asked him. I'll let a 1997 interview with Rolling Stone speak for itself:
"While I was working on Downward Spiral, I was living in the house where Sharon Tate was killed. Then one day I met her sister. It was a random thing, just a brief encounter. And she said: 'Are you exploiting my sister's death by living in her house?' For the first time, the whole thing kind of slapped me in the face. I said, 'No, it's just sort of my own interest in American folklore. I'm in this place where a weird part of history occurred.' I guess it never really struck me before, but it did then. She lost her sister from a senseless, ignorant situation that I don't want to support. When she was talking to me, I realized for the first time, 'What if it was my sister?' Date: 2007-12-03 10:35 pm (UTC)Ha, on a related note, there was this one time I listened to Closer, and I thought of Sonic pelvis thusting toward Shadow to the beat/rhythm of the song (and doing the sounds) to piss him off. I can only imagine how slow Sonic would do the thrusts at the end with that strange piano thingie. Shadow would be angry! He's an NIN fan too! (And a closet Linkin Park fan, but he isn't going to let anybody know that, not with all the bullshit about "Crawling In My Skin" being his fav song going around...)
You...also said something in your canon about Knuckles being a Tikal/Chaos lovechild and your stuff about Amy Rose? I'd like to share my canon with you...
My canon doesn't tread from Sonic canon entirely, but I tend to follow it better than Sonic Team does (Not to say I'm not original, my head has MANY wacky plothole fillers filling about, and for some reason, Fall Out Boy is there. Putting a crossover like that in there can be a disaster if it isn't handled right, but if somebody can manage Sonic and the Care Bears, I think I can handle this one...if I have a good beta. D':)
There is a story in the Sonic 3 Japanese manual that speaks of the Chaos legend, only to say that the entire Echinda civilization was wiped out and the echidna city and the altar pretty much stayed deserted for sometime until a "sky god" came down, restored part of the civilzation and threw the "Mighty Stone" (The Master Emerald) into the air, which I can assume was what made the Floating Island. (Some other theory says that the Chaos Emeralds neutralized the Master Emerald during Chaos's rampage and that's the reason why the island didn't rise in the last story of SA1, but seeing as we've always been told that the Master Emerald neutralizes the Chaos Emeralds, not the other way around, I'm certain that that theory is total BS.) In my stories, the sky god selects a portion of the revived Echidnas to stay on the mainland and spread out to the world (Which either explains the ruins in the Mystic Ruins Jungle, which was originally wiped out by Chaos, but rebuilt after sometime by the Echidnas) and another portion to stay on the island to guard the Master Emerald. Of course, the civilization died out again, only leaving poor Knuckles, with his Chaos powers. The sky god chose two individuals, male and female, to be endowed with the powers to handle the Master Emerald to the fullest extent, as Tikal once had, and they moved the Master Emerald from the altar you see in SA1 to the Hidden Palace Zone you see in Sonic 3 and Knuckles, without the island sinking. Generations of Guardians pass, and Knuckles has the power to move the Master Emerald, which he does to move it from the Hidden Palace Zone to the old altar after the Death Egg incident...and for those occasions when he goes treasure hunting. As long as he keeps the emerald in a compact form (like in SA2) and nobody takes it from his possession/breaks it, the island still floats. Rouge managed to swipe it from him after a long journey to a treasure filled cave that Rouge just so happened to be visiting at the same time. She just wanted some rare gems, and she gets an HUGE Emerald! Oh, goodie~<3
*cough* ...yeah. That was long. Either way, the issue of Amy's lack of independence. After a discussion with a certain Trohman, and a convenient flashback to SA1, Amy considers the role she has been taken so far,. In SONIC the Hedgehog (at least in my version) , in order to occupy her time and to figure this "independence" thing out, she tries various things, such as cookery, fashion design and ninja training with Espio. She tries to rescue Elise herself in order to impress Sonic (but that didn't exactly work out as planned, he was too far off to have even heard about it..) After the reboot, Amy finally chooses fashion design as a passion. Her designs are cute and sassy. <3

But he's responsible for bring them all the food he brings from his travels and paying the bills, so that's their secret why they're not in the streets keeping warm under newspapers. XD
2. One of the sweetest characters in Puri's headcanon, he knows the extents of his power and hence doesn't like fighting due to the messes it leaves and people they hurt. But his sense of justice is higher--he knows to fight when he has to and (generally) they end fast.
3. With his traveling experience, it was he who discovered the Floating Island--it was his relationship with Knuckles that started the connection between him and the Chaotix. (A slashy light? Who knows...? *DUNDUNDUN*)
Now for Knuckles!
1. It was an affair between Chaos and Tikal Knuckles was born--after Chaos lashed against the tribe and Tikal sealed themselves in the Master Emerald, they left only the egg outside--a dark-red baby echidna punches out of the egg, since then feeling a strong connection to the Emerald despite not knowing why. While never named, the vanishing survivors of the echidna tribe christened him Knuckles because of his gift in using his fists.
2. Instinct and pride clash inside Knuckles--he's an intelligent self-taught fighter who reads the language of the Floating Island and knows to harness every secret and trap. He channels zen and distances the world around him, calming himself and keeping in tune to his own strength. With Robotnik and others breaking his solitude and the unfamiliar technological world below, his traditional ways are challenged and crushed by impeding new ones--resistant to change, he lets instinct take over, holding dear to himself and his beliefs amidst the confusion of the suddenly cracked world around him.
3. Is he patient? Impatient? Impulsive? Analytic? It's easy to be confused about Knuckles's character because in ways, he's both. Ask him anything about Angel Island, and he'd fill you in details you'd never find in an encyclopedia. Having never known the outside world, it's understandable he'd be naive regarding the world beyond the Floating Island--hence why Robotnik easily manipulates him. While driven by instinct, there's a carefully tacked strategy in his fists taught by tradition of his ancestors--his sharp eyes catch in battle what others miss, tact and thought that follows with each move--he's an incredible guy that'd make one badass martial arts teacher. :o
Yoshi~!
1. Yoshi CAN speak--but you have to understand his language, otherwise his speech will simply be strange squeaks, whistles and buzzes. (See: the "Wreet-rert"s of Yoshi's Island, Mario Kart 64, etc) Because Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario, and DK were rescued by the Yoshi clan as babies, their language was ingrained into their knowledge so Yoshi speaks to say, the Mario Bros. like one in a foreign country who shares similar tongues.
2. The Yoshi we know and love universally (playable in Mario Party, Mario Kart, Smash Bros. etc) is the green one, of course--this was the Yoshi that found and saved Baby Mario, often the kindhearted leader that makes the plans and works together with the friendships of his friends and other Yoshies. He's the first Yoshi to be found in Super Mario World, and he's the Yoshi that first rises to the fight whenever Bowser kidnaps Peach.
3. Technically, as a dinosaur-dragon hybrid, Yoshi is one of the oldest characters in the Mario cast, beaten by the Koopas and Bowser, who also live according to reptile and tortoise years.

lawl, Knuckles being Chaos/Tikal lovechild. I wonder why I've never seen that before, or thought of it. Considering I like Chaos/Tikal and such :O that's really neat.

Yoshi was my favorite Mario character for aeons and I still select him in multiplayer today. :33 It always puzzled me when people thought of Yoshi unable to speak, considering he talks in plain English in Super Mario World and Super Mario RPG. oO;;; Now let us play together, under the bluest of skies~
