It's been a long time since I watched an Animé that made me cry. Toughie... Samurai X/the Rurouni Kenshin OAV though. That was beautiful, dark and sad. T-T The scene where Tomoe carves the remaining half of the X-shaped scar on Kenshin's face hurts everytime.
Obligatory recommendation: Welcome to the N.H.K. It's probably the only anime series ever able to make me cry. It's fantastic, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.
