Shadow the Hedgehog, perhaps?

- Maria first found Shadow by accident--she was exploring forbidden sections of the ARK when she accidentally walks into the Biolizard. In panic, she runs, and finds herself in a bizarre lab with aquariums and test-tubes. She discovers a baby sickly Shadow the size of her pinky--as she comes to see him, he grows healthier per day until he no longer needed the test tube's support.

- Shadow's a grump, but surprisingly easy to butter up--Cream becomes one of his closest friends, and he refuses to admit he treats Chao like they were his kids (thus spoiling them rotten until they're as arrogant as he is. XDD!)

- Despite underwater pool training, Shadow doesn't know how to swim (worse than Sonic) and immediately sinks like a rock.

- Amy still uses tarot--mainly so she could earn vital questions about the future and Sonic's whereabouts (Mostly the latter). That's why she's able to find him anywhere. XDDD!

- This is what I believe Amy's mom to look like. (I also call her Emily--a play on words based on Faulkner's "A Rose For Emily") Amy's dad is either red or a snowy white hedgehog. :)

- In my vision of Sonic canon, Amy is the most rabidly developed--by the end of the series, her crush on Sonic has lessened, and she focuses more on looking out for her friends and himself as an individual. (http://www.themysticalforestzone.com/sprites/Sonic/Amy_Cream_Rouge/mangaamysheet4if.png)

- Vegeta actually LIKES wearing the pink shirt. He thinks it makes him look hardcore. HAHAHA

- Jeff's mother exists. :o You know how Ness's Dad presents himself as a telephone? While exploring an abandoned mansion trying to find information, the Chosen Four come across a stopwatch that, when opened, shortly recognized Jeff as her own son. :o Long story here...

- Josie sings, but in secret. :o She didn't feel it was as important to her self-worth as her studies in math and reading were, for "Art and word can transcend the test of time, but what about sound?" More on that when we chat, dearie~ ♥

- Due to trauma throughout his life (being kidnapped by Kamek, for example), like being stuffed into lockers by bullies while Mario had to save him, it's little wonder he's the most timid of the brothers.

- Nighttime terrors Boos in Bowser's castle are also why he dislikes ghosts the way he does.

- Luigi is the most artistic of the two, whether it's keeping a secret diary, publishing his own book, or having his own library stocked with books he's bought over adventures. :)

Eggman

- Was quite a looker back in college/high school. :o

- His mother was blonde. Just like *DUNDUNDUN*

- He has fine, sophisticated tastes, like theater, dance, etc. and the intricate designs of his buildings and airships--a favorite pastime of his is having a little sip of wine with an olive in it in the Chao Garden aboard the Egg Carrier. ("Yosh!")

Mewtwo

- May or may not be close to Nurse Joy. On one hand, she was just a puppet assistant--on the other, her sincerity may have softened toward her a bit, so he'd spare her as he completed his revenge on the humans.

- Develops close ties with Pikachu-Two after Mewtwo Strikes Back! events.

- He still remembers Ai, and he uses his anger about how her father decided simply to "replace" her with "another clone" as part of his reasons for eliminating mankind.

- Mario is the most athletic, social, and optimistic of the bros.--he's the life of the party (*cough* 7+ of them! XDDD) while Luigi prefers to be a wallflower or stay at home and read or do housekeeping.

- Mario likes cookies and baked goods just as much as he does pasta. (Hence the Mario 64 cake and the Yoshi Cookies)

- Because of his funky upbringing (rescued by Yoshies, raised in Brooklyn, having a billion jobs like plumbing and carpenting), Mario has a talent for adapting to his surroundings quickly, like a pigeon in an apartment sill. This proves to save his butt a million times later. XDDD!

Sonic the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat, maybe?

Sonic

- Sonic was first seen as a baby with two scared hedgehogs on Christmas Island. They were forgotten until several years later, a teeny-tiny blur whipped into the village of South Island. Because they were so amazed by this creature's speed, they called him "Sonic", and the name stuck since. XD

- Unlike poor Shadow here, Sonic can run JUST as fast with bare feet as he can with shoes. Due to speed and all the ouchie stuff like sharp twigs and rocks though, he wears a special kind of shoes to protect himself.

- Actually doesn't have a lot of girl problems, since he considers himself a free spirit. Not to say Sonic doesn't have flaws he hides from himself, of course...

Tails

- Has TONS of bases and workshops scattered across different islands, mainly so Robotnik and robots can't go running around stealing/ruining inventions.

- He hates being called by his real name (makes him uncomfortable), so when Sonic decided to call him Tails, it made him super happy and feel like he finally had an identity and was someone special.

- Miles Prower = "Miles per hour". That's my story and I'm sticking with it! :o

Sora

- If I wrote KHfic, there'd be a fine balance between Disney and FF. :o That said, he, Riku, and Kairi used to act out fairy tales, like from Hans Christian Anderson or Brothers Grimm. (As this is most of where Disney comes from, hm?) Little did they know this was a precursor to the adventures ahead...

- Roxas either A. Comes out of Sora's body now and then in spiritual form. B. Takes over Sora's body and lives a day as "Roxas".

- Sora can't sing. XD This is one of the few Disney-esque features he phails at.

Bowser!

- He had a wife named Olivia--hence the "O" in Wendy O. Koopa's name. When she died, Bowser would SUPER later try to clone himself with Baby Bowsers--hence Bowser Jr. came in the scene.

- Kamek gave him everything he wanted, despite hating children--that's why Bowser's the spoiled brat he is today. XD

- In Super Mario RPG, Bowser and Geno end up fighting a lot. (Rather, Bowser losing his temper and Geno quietly PWNing him)
