Okay, this is going too far.
Jun. 16th, 2007 03:26 pmApparently, a kindergartener got suspended for bringing a plastic knife to school so he could help cut out cookies for class.
W. T. F!?
I don't know about you, but I think the No Tolerance rule is gonna increase crime than the other way around. Since, you know, this teaches little kids you can kill or mutilate someone using only a paper clip or something.
What's next? We can't bring our own pencils or pens to school because teachers are worried we might stab kids with them?
"OMG U BROUGHT PAPER TO CLASS AND PAPER CAUSES PAPER CUTS!11! YOUR SUSPENDED ADN GOING TO JUVINILE JAIL!111!11!1"
I shouldn't HAVE to feel worried or scared for living in America dammit. Stupid Bush administration.

Date: 2007-06-16 08:43 pm (UTC)Seriously, I don't get people sometimes. I can understand schools being worried about safety and insurance, especially due to some overzealous parents who are quick to cry "lawsuit!", but this is getting ridiculous! At least let us play dodgeball again, schools. Sheesh.

I'm grateful there's no such stuff in Europe. Well, there are lots of other issues here though..
