Two weeks left. Then I'll be out of high school for good. But it feels too slow.

Still bitter. Still hurting. Still lazy as usual.

There was dirt in his fur and his tails limped like dead rats against the stone wall. His arms were chained to the wall, fingers twitching as his nerves fell asleep.

This isn't him. Miles knew. He saw the navy tendrils curl and vanish around this near-black hedgehog, the peach fur on muzzle and stomach a pale white--his green eyes were sharper, and a cruel sheen sent an icicle in place of his spine.

"What do you say buddy?" the hedgehog peeled the gloves away, catching the imprisoned fox's gasps like fish in a barrel. "You always wanted to keep up with me, didn't you?"

"Wh-When..." he choked, the dark ones fingers fondling his fur. "When you're the REAL Sonic."

"What's wrong with a deeper shade of blue? We always shared the same fire." To prove this, the navy hedgehog pinned the prisoner with a kiss, intoxicated as drops of sweat gathered by the fox's temples. "And that anger... we've had it. And we want power." The dark one slipped a hand under, trailing beneath Tails's stomach. "A little satisfaction to fix us both..."

There was a growl and a snapping of teeth--startled, the hedgehog swooped back, grimacing as his nose ached from gnaws--blood scratched his skin, and Sonic wiped his nose while a seething Tails glared slaughter into his eyes.

"Don't touch me!"

Sonic was still silent, then he grinned. It was not going to be easy.

Which made the fun better.
