Granted, I used to adore the series as a kid. It was better than the really whacky version of Sonic. (Or, I thought so; I was never too fond of the version with Grounder and Scratch, but hey, at least that version actually had enemies from the game.) I liked it for its darker tone, but it definitely took a lot of liberty and a lot of leaps, but it was an interesting idea.

But it fails because there's no Chaotix. *SO VERY BIASED*

I've dealt with a LOT of horrible SatAM elitists. ._____.;;; From what little I've seen, I do like the show. I just want to punch in the faces of those who put it on a pedestal and treat the other Sonic stuff like crap, I hate those people. @.@;;;

I would rather watch SatAM than read Archie, if only because Archie makes the Chaotix little pussies and Knuckles needs to rescue his bitches is... well, Archie. It has its moments of greatness and a lot of moments of ew.

SatAM is generally good. I'd probably buy it, because I do really like the darker take on Sonic. Although it does, of course, leave off on a CLIFFHANGER

But yes, it needs Chaotix. Fuck it all. D:

I never even really saw too much of SatAM Sonic. Okay, I saw plenty, granted (and can sing the theme song no problem!), but I found the darker tone didn't resonate with me as much. Well, that and Tails just didn't do enough, dangit!

I liked what I've seen of Sally AcorntAM and can't say I really agree with the review (series may not be Batman: the Animated Series in terms of quality, but it's nowhere near as bad as the Zelda cartoon in terms of campiness) but I've heard about how the elitists tend to take it a bit too far.


It's gonna be interesting to see their reactions to the movie (assuming the rumors of it are true). :B

I agree. The review was way too harsh. Sure, it's not the best cartoon out there, but it didn't deserve some of the stuff the guy said about it. And about the elitists, well, every fandom has them...and I've seen worse elitists in other places.

Of course, I still think the Sonic OVA had the best representation of StH. ^^;;

Aww, I really like SatAM. The Archie comics ruined a lot of the SatAM characters in my humble opinion (although Archie still has its occasional redeeming moments - few and far between, if you ask me). Sally and Bunnie are two of my favorite characters ever, so I don't know what the whole weak character cast criticism is all about. SatAM was brilliant and showed both Sonic and Robotnik in the way that I've always believed them to be. Needed more Sonic and Tails dynamic though, and for that reason, AoStH is still by far my favorite Sonic cartoon :)

Pfft. I agree. Jeez, they could at least be a bit impartial to the series, but nearly all of their Sonic related reviews state all of its flaws. ::Rolls eyes:: Give me a break. Yes, Sonic is not a Godly series and it has its mistakes, but it's not as horrible as IGNorant.com claims it to be.

And judging from the stuff they give good ratings to, I can agree with your notion.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees this - those shmucks can give some sort of GTA cloned game that recieves butt hype a perfect ZOMG 10@@!111 But the second, anything unique or enjoyable is out QUICK!! PISS OFF THE FANS! IT'LL BE FUNNY.

Hell even the guy who played GODHAND and rated it admits he only played it for 30 minutes; GODHAND is a game that has to be played for quite sometime in order to REALLY get into the meat of it (Which fyi - is one of the better PS2 games of 2006... Super Hard, yes, but soooooooo good.)
