ICON SOMETHING OTHER THAN FF AND/OR KINGDOM HEARTS.



Seriously. Your FFX and FF7: AC icons look like the same bloody thing. Another shocker? Squeenix isn't the only video game maker out there. Nor was FF or KH2 the only things they ever made. (Where the heck is the "Threads of Fate"/"Dewprism" icon luff?) Dude, I see "Chrono Cross" icons a lot. Where's "Chrono Trigger"? I thought it was one of the most hyped classics along with FF6! But damn. Whenever I find anything, I get my hopes doused when it's only one icon with Crono standing there in his official pose. Boriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing! I thought people would be toying around with the PSX cinema scenes like crazy! Or toying with screenshots or sprites from the game! But noooooo... *rolls eyes*

LEGEND OF ZELDA ISN'T THE ONLY NINTENDO-RELATED FRANCHISE IN EXISTANCE.



Seriously. I'm glad I can get away from the FF icons, and go somewhere where I'm more likely to spot something more of my tastes. But here, we've got the same problem aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall over again. FF7, FF8, FF9, FF: AC, KH2 become OoT, MM, WW, Minish Cap, Twilight Princess, and... AUUUUUUUUUUUUGH. Doesn't help that most of them are WW style, which I don't care about. (Yes, you heard me right. I have NO interest in Windwaker*Zelda. Okay, maybe Phantom Hourglass. But beh.)



Dear Super Smash Bros. Fandom:

MARTH, ROY, LINK AND ZELDA ARE NOT THE ONLY CHARACTERS IN THE SERIES.



Allow me to be mean for a killosecond: Marth & Roy are boring. Okay, maybe a tad TOO mean. I like 'em okay, though they're inching closer and closer to the "neutral" zone. But seriously. Compared to Jigglypuff, the Ice Climbers, Yoshi, Pichu, etc.? Yawn. Especially so compared to Meta Knight--I'm more impressed with blue devil-winged masked puffballs wielding a sword than oh... some other guy in a glossy tunic. Roy's a pyro, you say? Well, so's Mario and Luigi and Ness. (Yoshi too if he swallows a red shell in SMW) Meta Knight can cast effing tornados. I'd like to see Marth do that! But if neither of 'em can split canyons like Frog in CT, that's pretty much a lost cause.

What makes Smash Bros. awesome is the variety of characters. So why the heck am I only seeing fanfiction/fanart of the swordsmen, Zelda, Peach, Samus, Ganondorf, maybe Fox and Falco and whatnot, while the Pokémon and Yoshi and DK and children (except Young Link) and Mr. Game & Watch are completely shoved to the side or show up in minor and/or comic roles? Doesn't sound quite fair to me. Gods, I bet the people on FF.net would recieve a heart attack if I posted Ice Climbers fluff. Or if it's Popo/Nana OTP cuteness; I'll get toasted for not following fanon guidelines, 'cause EWWW OMG POPO AND NANA R BRO & SIS NINTENDO SED SO!1!1!!!11!1 Um no. The hearts in the SSBM opening obviously stand for something. It's that, or Nintendo really does support incest in stuff other than Fire Eleblem.

But gods. The Marth/Roy/Link orgymances get old. FAST. So does the Link/Zelda soaps. Latest treasure at FF.net: Roy/Ness romance! I remember when the SSB section tried to go for the "Unique/Whacked Couple of the Week" in hopes of cashing in reviews for their Link/Mewtwo or Zelda/Fox romance (what makes it more hilareous is Zelda turns into Krystal). lolz

I used to like Marth, but then I got sick of him in every SSB fic. That's why I'm using daddy*Eliwood and Eirika in my fanfics OMGDIFFERENTKILLHER! XD;;;

Meh, I like that my SSB fics defy the typical. But maybe they defy it too much so that people don't read them. =/

I only use daddy*Eliwood, simply because he looks hot. X3;;; That, and I find it easier, even if he's only in a background/minor role from time to time.

Eirika's my pet favorite. =3 I feel bad seperating her from Ephraim -again- but it gives me an excuse to write angst and my favorite crack*OTP too!, like LDoM did. X3;;;

Meh, I just like portraying the Smash Brothers as a (dysfunctional) family and the bad guys as a real threat (and an even more dysfunctional family too). Call me crazy, but those sorta things rub off on me after reading too many superhero team comics and watching lots of 'Justice Leauge'. X3;;;

But I'll save that rant for my journal at a later time.

I don't intend for them to be a superhero team in the slightest. Heck, they're a loosely knit 'group' in my interpretation. I just like to borrow the 'family' dynamics in some superhero/sentai stuff.

If I were to write SSB fic, I'd write a little of everybody, to balance things out. Which of course, would be difficult to keep track, but as you said. Different "teams" or "families", ya know? As for who's major or minor, it all depends on the plot. XD

Watch as I write Ice Climbers, Peach, or some other guy as main characters for one chapter, and people are only concerned with who Peach is being paired up with or wanting her to be fed to rabid wombats. 'Cause heaven forbid I don't write Peach as an airhead or Samus as a rabid feminazi, 'cause *GASP* I write them as human.

I'm actually a fan of Roy, I just love playing him on the game. However, I gotta agree that Meta Knight is going to be a great addiction to the series no doubt. I like Pikachu too though because he can run around pretty quick and shock everyone on the screen at once. I dunno, that's just me though :P

Fire Emblem has always had, at the very least, hints of incest, yuri and yaoi. Eirika and Ephraim are pretty shippy, but not as much as others--even ones that have been translated to this country and done properly. Priscilla and Raven, anyone?

From my point of view, FE is open to everything on some level. If that's a bother to some people, then I think those people should simply stick to the "normal" pairings--there are plenty of those, after all.
