Desert fic, Sonic & Shadow. (Go figure) "Potential Sonadow" the author calls it. By a miracle, she has them both in-character.
My only major beef with this fic?
It's been only one chapter, and she's let it cough dust since 2003.
But judging from her User Page & Favorite Stories List, I think she still exists:
...Oh my god, I found an oasis! XDDD;;; (Pun intended... in a way) You know how HARD it is to find decent fic where Sonic & Shadow are characterized correctly? oO;;;
I mean... seriously. Shadow's like, perfectly acidic. XDD (Perfectly understandable, of course. ;D) And gosh, you've got Sonic pretty well in this--from his annoyance in the beginning to his cheerful nature buggering his rival, it's really cute and well... him. XDD And curses, I must see more of their interactions, I want to see how they survive the desert... I must see more! X333
As for Sonadow? Well, it's one of those things you gotta ask yourself as an author--if you want it to be Sonadow, go for it. If you feel it doesn't fit, you don't have to make it romance. It's like what Peppy Hare says: "Never give up! Trust your instincts!" In other words, don't try to force Sonadow onto your fic when your brain doesn't feel like it, but don't hold yourself back if you WANT to write romance. Whatever decision you make, Sonadow or not, your most committed readers will be with you all the way. :D
...And this hasn't been touched since 2003? Dude, it's been 3 years by the time I'm typing this. Don't make me crack any whips, m'kay? XDDD;;; Or well... don't make be sad by leaving this story alone. ^^;;;; I see a LOT of potential here!
Slash or no slash, finding good fic on my two favorite hedgies is like finding an angel in Hell. *_______________* (Well, who's not Lucifer. XDD;;; But you know what I mean. ^^;;;;)
