Okie dokies. Fine. You'll ignore my advice anyway.

I knew mentioning that horrible, horrible badfic Manipulated Love on someone's LJ was going to bring me bad luck. Which leads me to this: remember what I said about me complaining how there wasn't enough "Sonic" slash on anything lately, even badfic and Sonadow? Even Sonadow*Badfic? Well, I take that back. 'Cause I'm starting to regret it and wish the yaoi in my fandom would be rare again 'cause I remembered just how SUCKY the majority (aka 99.98%) of it can be. And scarring. And mind-blowing. And overall just leave me broken and bleeding and hissing and screaming in RAGE. With knives. With an address book of where the fangirls live. Mmm, hitlists.

Sometimes, I wonder if this is JUST as sucky as fics with Mario raping Peach which I ranted about in fanficrants around three years ago. But then, that's another subject all together.

Sonic said he loves Shadow, but Shadow seems like he don't really give a damn about Sonic or the baby, since it even said so that Shadow only used Sonic for sex. He seems like those type of guys who'll fuck em, get em pregnant and leave em. Knuckles seems to be more excited about the baby and helping Sonic out more then Shadow does. And when Tails showed Sonic his baby on the screen, isn't Sonic a bit scared about his future? I mean, Sonic will have alot of responsibility and his life will change forever once his baby is born. Especially when he rarely ever feels close to anyone in the first place. Yeah, first thing Shadow's gonna to is use Sonic & Knuckles to his amusement, and possibly break poor Rouge and Amy's hearts, fuck yes. Bullshit. Bee-You-Ehl-Ehl-Ess-Ach-Eye-Tee. BULLSHIT.

I won't comment more on the Mpreg and obiously Teenage High-School soap opera cliché, since I already have. So moving on.

Go figure, it's her first lemon. And even I, of ALL PEOPLE, aka the most sheltered 17-year-old in the world about sex, did ten billion times better than this... this disgusting GARBAGE. Damn, I thought "Sonikku" and fangirl Japanese and Sonic acting like a little girl only complied to Bad*Sonadow. But yes--Sonuckles is victim to the same fucking thing. Basic plot: "Sonic" characters are drunk. They play a certain version of "Spin the Bottle" where whoever it spins to, you guys have to fuck in the closet for a certain amount of time. Sonic's turn, and guess where it lands. Cue much complaining and "Faker!" shout matches. Funkily enough, they have no objections, foresight, or brains whatsoever, and cue short crappy quickie which is enough for eye-gauging and not NEARLY short enough to bear, if at all.

And THIS thing has 41 reviews. I reckon it's because of requests.

Guess what fanfic Puri-chan just recently hit the "Report Possible Abuse" button for. Cue author complaining when she gets banned, 'cause she'll be all "OMG IF U DIDN'T LIKE U DON'T READ OMG I'M PERSECUTED FOR WRITING YAOI AND HAWT POINTLESS FUR SEXx0rz!!1" Follow the rules, fucker. Else we'd be like the little fuckers that burned the island in Lord of the Flies. Mmm, law. Law is good.

At any rate, I hope this gets banned before the author gets a chance to write rape. Then, I'd have to rip her insides out.



Is it any WONDER I get put off by hentai and lemons so often? 'Cause pretty much, it's shit like this. "OMG I WANNA SEE TWO HAWT BOYZ FUCKING 4 MI AMUSEMENT LOLZ. :pets: ;; Sonic fandom has some of the most shameful slash fics on the net. At least when you go to other fandom’s, like Harry Potter- which has the Draco/Harry pairing, as overdone as Sonadow is- it has amazing fics, and amazing slash/yaoi fics to balance out the crap.

Te Sonic slash fandom has only crap. Seriously. ;; x.x; And it’s a damn shame because a lot of the couplings DO have so much potential if written properly with a care and an eye for good character writing. But it’s like people don’t care, cannot be bothered or are simply kids who don’t know how to write better.

I think I disagree with you on one point though. And that is that Shadow would manipulate someone if he felt the need to. =P Because I believe he would. If he had a goal, something he truly wanted to achieve, and had to ‘use’ someone to achieve that end? Damn straight I think he would. >.>; And be pretty remorseless about it to boot. But that’s only how I see his character and I think everyone sees him differently.

A lot of the "Sonic" slash makes me criiiiiiiy. @.@ Then again, there's good ol' Sturgeon's Law (http://www.jargon.net/jargonfile/s/SturgeonsLaw.html), but there are these sad times when I have to up that percentage to 98.99%, "Sonic" fandom being one of them. I mean, with humongous fandoms such as Harry Potter and LotR, you're bound to find something decent. Say you like Sirius/Remus, and you pile through what, 500 badfic? You find at least 35 that don't make you stab your eyes out, 15 which you like, 5 which you worship the ground on: it's quite a find for the Sirius/Remus shipper that's determined and patient and looks hard enough.

Okay, so maybe that's not the most accurate numbers in the world. But oh! Let's see Puri look for say... Knuxouge. Doobie doobie do, an entire page of badfics. No problem, I'll be back another day. And the next, and the next, and the next... in the end, you've found one Knuxouge fic you absolutely adored. ONE. (And that was by Byron Nightshade) See Puri scrounge every nick and cranny and bone of the entire "Sonic" fandom for at least coherent Sonadow, and what? She finds... around 3? Among 3000? The tiny number also counts for the "Eh, it's not winning any Oscars, but not a bad read" type stuff. All the other few stuff Puri ever liked, the authors took 'em down and wiped 'em out the face of the planet, moving on to something else. You're looking for a specific needle in a pile of needles, that's what it is.

Maybe it would depend on the type of situation--in a way, Shadow had Eggman around his fingers while carrying out Professor Gerald's plot. More than often enough, it was him being manipulated, not the other way around. The government wanted "Project Shadow" for immortality, and GUN wanted it sealed away. And finally, when Professor Gerald learned Maria died and snapped, ('specially after HE was used by the government himself) in a way nearly the entire cast of SA2 became his puppets--not just Shadow, who he created. But Eggman, Rouge, Sonic and the rest were set up along like pawns to destroy Earth. Okay, that's a tad into another subject. But is Shadow clever enough? Yes. Would he do it often? Unlikely, by my standards. Again, 'tis my opinion.

I do feel... somewhat responsible for your rant. As I am a teenage fangirl (though I don't feel "fangirl" is strong enough for me as I've been a Sonic fan since before my first year at school). I may not have posted anything more than totally out-of-character Sonadow, but still, I'm a teenage fangirl and I have posted shitty, shitty, SHITTY Sonadow (bearing in mind I was about 12/13 when I wrote it, but I guess that's no excuse) which I don't have the heart to take down. At the moment, anyway. And I don't have time to write anything better, so my old stuff remains there. God. I really do need to delete it. *PANIC*

To be honest, I don't mind about mpregs or smut or rapefics... so long as they're _extremely_ well written. My favourite fanfic of all - one which has not been posted on Fanfiction.net or Mediaminer, or anywhere except for one site (as far as I know)- includes rape and smut. And it got away with it, purely because it was so damn well written. Agh I can't stress enough what an amazing fic it was! >3<

Butbut, yes... I agree with you on basically everything. I rarely go on fanfiction anymore, and I feel somewhat glad. That Spin the Bottle fanfic sounds... well, phenomenal, I guess. XD <3

Aww... and you know something? Back when I was 12/13 myself, when I first joined FF.net and started writing fanfiction, I was no better than the screeching fangirls I complained about. While I didn't really do what they did, (except write horrible OOC shippy fic, though smut wasn't involved) I commited plenty of sins on my own, like writing cliche unfunny scriptfic and boggling songfic, (Linkin Park and "Kirby" anyone? Looooong story on that) and I was so hateful too: I must've done ten billion bashfics that were so despicable no one reviewed them. I could tell you about the 9/11
"Minesweeper" songfic if I have to--that was me. *nod* As you can tell, I did a lot of things I wasn't proud of. XDD;;; I could go on for ages about this. And even then, I look at my old Sonadow stuff from last year and can't help but cringe a little. XDDD;;;

Now this, I agree with--mostly. It's how it's written that matters, I'm definitely with you there. It also depends on a person's tastes: Mpreg is a personal squick of mine, so I don't touch that with a ten-foot-pole when it comes to searching for fic. I don't like a lot of rapefic because it's generally written by 13-year-old girls who use it as a plot device for
"OMG GETTING CHARACTER A & B TOGETHER, AND BASTARDIZE C" without noting the realistic effects and trauma, and when it IS well-written, well... let's say that true rape affects Puri pretty much, so she gets quite uncomfortable reading it. It's the bad stuff I'm ranting about--and by any chance, do you remember the link to that fic? :o

Yep, it was phenomenal all right. XDDD;;; But if that was phenomenal, then Manipulated Love should win an Oscar. :p So far, I don't think anything's topped that... "fic", as of yet. *shudder* Nor do I want to know what is actually worse. @.@

Oh goodness me! Linkin Park and Kirby? It sounds fascinating to me. :D I never posted any OC fics purely because I knew/thought that no one would be interested. Besides, most of them were about twenty to forty pages long on Word, in a small font size and were completely unfinished to boot. I can only thank myself for not submitting anything more than the OOC Sonadow that I have done. XD It surprises me that even today I still get reviews for them, when really I consider them to be pretty dire.

I think we all cringe a little when we look back on old writing, so don't worry. *chuckles* We all make mistakes, after all! ^^

Bwahaha, no, I don't really mind mpreg, but I can understand how you can't like it. I'm sure I have pet hates when it comes to fanfiction, but I can't think of any off the top of my head at the moment.
