Dear Rabid Shadow Fangirls,


Shadow. Is. Not. YOURS.

He ain't mine, either. (And don't even bother associating me with any fictional character) And you know what? For plenty reasons:

1. He's PIXELS. He's PAPER. He's FICTION. For friggin' sakes, he's from a VIDEO GAME.
2. I don't care WHAT kind of catagory you're in; whether you're a furry or not. You can be Kawaii Neko or Kitsune or Hedgehog or whatever, but I'd hate to break it to you, behind every computer sits a Homo sapien. Therefore, you crushing on Shadow? B-E-S-T-A-I-L-I-T-Y. "OMG EW GORSS" you're 'prolly saying now, eh?
3. You, "shadowsmyboyfriend" or whoever the hell you're called on DA. STOP requesting random artists to draw "shadow/tamara kthnx". One, the artist can do whatever he/she wants to do, and doesn't have to subject to your whims OR your memberless Shadow/Tamara DA club kthnx. (And heck, if I were the artist, I'd do what Pyra did to Tora looooooong ago, aka the Esolie Incident)
4. These three comics illustrate what it would be like if Shadow dated your Sue. Not the Sugary Fluffy Bunnies*Shadow you were expecting, eh?
5. One girl was FIRST before ALL of you were born. By 50 years, and "Sonic" games definitely didn't exist then. Her name was Maria Robotnik.

And for your information, Shadow and E-123 Omega are riding off into the sunset aboard their Harley Davidson built for two, where they'll live in the mountains by themselves in peace, and live happily ever after.

And gods, if you think those were bad, check out rabidfanssuck. There was a girl who was literally making out with a picture of Inu-Yasha and snapped and nearly hurt someone when they tried to take it away. And there was a story about a girl who acted like she was married to Ryou Bakura IRL--kids and all. Like she personally knew him. One day, people found her sobbing, and wonder why? "Bakura and I have broken uuuuuup! *SOB*" She've moved on to another bishounen, of course. <.<;;; Okie dokies, no more horror stories.

I don't do the crush thing either, but I'll say that I'm drawn more to cartoon characters ("Drawn more": 4KIDS PUN!!1) than your standard IRL celebrities, but sheesh, at least I recognize them as being fiction, instead of announcing stuff like I'm married to them and NO ONE CAN TOUCH THEM KTHNX or freakier. :/

Okay, I will admit. I can develop -terrible- crushes on cartoon characters. I have since I was little.

But even when I was like ten and crushing on Astroboy and Orko, I -still- knew they were nothing more than a cartoon character. oO;

I didn't have delusions of marrying them or anything like that. Yes, I made up some atrocious Mary Sues, but they were all in my -head-. I -knew- it was make believe. oO; That's the fun of make believe! You can have whoever you want! But for heaven's sake, you have to realize that when you open your eyes from daydreaming again, the character is -not- going to be lying beside you in the grass. o.o;;;

I'll admit, Shadow is one of the ones I currently have a horrendous crush on... but geez louise, people. oO; I'm not having fantasies about him showing up on my doorstep and stealing me away from my husband so we can have mad hedgie sex and live happily ever after. @_@ *DIES* Xx;

Crushes on video game characters, I don't mind. It's safe stuff and for fun, right? You're not hurting anyone, you're not writing Mary-Sues chasing 'em on the Internet--it's good ol' fun. It's when it goes overboard when the fangirls get scary and possessive and giggly and... ugh. That's when I have to bitchslap 'till they realize they're awake. @.@
