Someone's writing a fic right now (A Twixie Love Story) where Trixie and Twi are a couple, but they go on dates...in secret. If this isn't it, we need a pony version of Maurice post-haste.
Though I imagine the meeting actually going like this:
"Trixie!", Twilight shouted, "What are you doing here?"
"Trixie", she replied, laughing smugly, "Has returned to tell you about her adventures outside Ponyville. Trixie is especially proud of that time she got two Ursa Majors to fight each other...to the death!"
"Oh yeah," Twilight retorted, "Well, that's nothing. I helped save a entire kingdom!"
"Trixie too saved a kingdom. By herself!"
The two unicorns bickered with magic superlatives so insane, that it would have caused Star Swirl the Bearded, the great pony wizard of legend, head to explode. Had he not, well, turned himself into a mist cloud 400 years ago and left his body...somewhere. When suddenly the two stopped yelling and stared each other down.
Than the kissed. For a while. A real long while. Luckily, unicorns can hold their breath for a long time.
What they did not notice was someone was watching them.
"Now touch....touch hooves" whispered a bright pink Alicorn, before bursting into a devious smile..."
You know, if I wasn't so lazy, I'd make that the opening to a fanfic where Cadence uses her love element to ship ponies...in real life...ish...you know what I mean.
