James and I went to see CATS last night. In a nutshell, it was about of cat-people leaping around singing, "WE ARE CAAAAAAAATS WE ARE JELLICLE CAAAAAAAAAAATS" for over thirty minutes and not doing much else. :P There were a few good numbers like Memory, and I'll 'prolly give them another chance later (the only song I heard prior to seeing CATS was Sarah Brightman singing Macavity, and she did it way better. :P) but overall, we just... didn't get it. Probably due that we couldn't really hear what the actors were singing (it's either them or the auditorium has awful sound) or who knows, maybe we just didn't care. The good news is that James borrowed Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot from his boss, so I read him all the poems while he drove me home. We both agreed the poetry was much better. :D At least I can take even more humor from Dad's bitching about CATS and Andrew Lloyd Weber. XD ("I had to see it twice." "Well, as expected in the newspaper today, they had pictures of those stupid cats. Yuck!")

Plus we got a flier for the next show coming up in May: Trans-Siberian Orchestra performing Beethoven's Last Night. Fuck yes. *-*

Dad and I auditioned for The Fully Monty musical at our local theater. I didn't get anything (I had a great audition, I just looked too young for the female parts. XDD;;;) , but he got the role of Tony Giordano and the Minister. EFF YEAH. :D

Day 2. A song/artist that never fails to make you dance

Dance Dance Revolution. O WAIT. Oingo Boingo's good at getting me on my feet too, particularly No One Lives Forever. I seem to be a sucker for Halloween party music. If a skeleton can dance to it, so will I. So stuff like Move Your Dead Bones by Dr. Reanimator and classics like Monster Mash and Purple People Eater wins me over. :D And one other song I like that isn't Halloweenie, but...

Beck - Timebomb. A few times I tuned in to Radio PSI (???) at Starmen.net and chatted with a few people along with Blooopie, it was totally worth it. People requested music from a DJ, and this song was one of them. :o Love at first listen. Just... bah-bah-bah, bah-bah bah-da-da-da-da bah-bah-bah... It's exactly the kind of NES-like electronica I adore. 8)
