Writer's Block: A.A. Milne
Oct. 14th, 2008 02:42 pm[Error: unknown template qotd]Daaaw, what a cute question! *______* I'd pick Eeyore. No offense to Tigger, his optimism is nice, but his hyperness could get overbearing for me since I'm a quiet person who doesn't speak much IRL, and he tends to damage stuff and go overboard without meaning to. XDD;;; As for Eeyore, I could be biased since he's my favorite. XD But underneath his sad perspective, he's actually a pretty contemplative guy who knows more than he lets on. You know that episode from "(New?) Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" where Eeyore's friends see him on a cliff and decide to cheer him up (Piglet comes last, Eeyore puts on a football helmet and says, "Go ahead. Cheer me up."). Turns out Piglet came to him to emo because he didn't know what he could do to make Eeyore happy and felt horrible because he always seemed so miserable and alone. ("But Piglet, I don't stay out here because I'm sad. I'm here because I'm happy. Look. *holds out paw to the sky*") You see these neat cloud patterns whooshing in the sky until a rainbow and sparkles falls onto Piglet and Eeyore and the approaching gang, and everyone oohs and ahhs. ("Thank you for sharing this, Eeyore." And I can't remember what Eeyore said, but it was something like, "All you have to do is look.") I like that Eeyore is thoughtful and respects my need for soul-searching and seeking inner zen, and there'd be a lot we could share and talk about regarding life while stuck in the elevator. :) And hey, my optimism/realism balances his pessimism/realism nicely~
